Employment Law

Areas of Practice

For more than three decades, Buelow Vetter attorneys have represented management in the wide ranging and ever-changing field of employment law. We have extensive experience providing practical preventive advice. As the scope of the laws prohibiting discrimination and harassment continue to expand, Buelow Vetter lawyers regularly defend employers against claims of discrimination, harassment and retaliation brought under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, Executive Order 11246 and similar federal and state laws. We defend lawsuits in federal and state courts. We also defend employers against discrimination charges brought before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs, and similar state agencies.

Additionally, our attorneys design policies against discrimination and harassment, conduct management and supervisory training, and guide employers in the internal investigation of harassment and discrimination claims. We defend educational institutions against Title IX claims. We assist employers in the drafting of affirmative action plans, and we represent employers that are the subject of OFCCP compliance audits.

Buelow Vetter has the depth of experience to guide management to advantageous, legal and practical solutions in all areas of employment law.
